Drive from Kathmandu to Thamdanda via Kharikhola is an adventurous journey that offers a unique experience for travelers...
Read MoreThe Everest region, located in the eastern part of Nepal, is a popular destination for trekking and peak climbing. Home to the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, this region is also known for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Trekking and peak climbing in the Everest region offer a unique opportunity to explore the Himalayan wilderness while experiencing the local culture and traditions.
The Everest Base Camp Trek takes 12–14 days round-trip from Kathmandu, reaching 5,364m at Everest Base Camp, with the option to add Kala Patthar (5,545m) for the best Everest views. Located in the Khumbu Valley in eastern Nepal, the Everest region is home to Mount Everest (8,849m) and is Nepal's most popular trekking and climbing destination.
The route passes through Sherpa villages including Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, Buddhist monasteries, suspension bridges over glacial rivers, and high-altitude landscapes with views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. No technical climbing skills are required for the standard EBC trek - it's a walking trek suitable for reasonably fit beginners with prior hiking experience.
For those seeking a climbing expedition rather than a trek, the Everest region offers several peaks between 6,000m and 6,900m, including Island Peak (6,189m), Lobuche Peak (6,119m), Mera Peak (6,476m), and Ama Dablam (6,812m). These require technical climbing skills, prior mountaineering experience, and a climbing permit.
Best time to trek or climb in the Everest region: March–May (spring) and September–November (autumn), when skies are clear and mountain visibility is best. Winter (Dec-Feb) and monsoon (Jun-Aug) are possible but with colder temperatures or reduced visibility, respectively.
Whether you're planning your first trek or a technical climbing expedition, Ebc Trek Nepal offers guided Everest Base Camp treks, peak climbing expeditions, and mountain flights with experienced guides.

Amazing experience for group of 54 people to Everest Base Camp
This was probably the biggest group ever done by any trekking company to Everest Base Camp. We were 54 people from different parts of the world. We really thank the whole team including Mr. Shiva, Mr. Vijay, Mr. Kaji and Ms. Priscilla. Will definitely contact them again for my next trek in Nepal.

Amazing Tour and Exceptional Care
Right from airport arrivals to departures from 30-Mar to 19-Apr, it was an unforgettable moment. Our trek and local sightseeing were simply exceptional. The tour was planned considering all aspects, including Everest Base Camp and the Three Passes trek, and was finished on time. I highly recommend Shiva & Co (Across Himalaya Tours & Treks Ltd).

Everest Base Camp Hike
I went to the Everest Base Camp with Across Himalaya and they provided everything necessary to make this trip a dream come true. When my Lukla flight was canceled, they quickly arranged an alternative by jeep. The guide was very experienced, helped me when I felt sick due to altitude, and was a great companion during my solo trek. Shiva also arranged a helicopter tour so I could return to Kathmandu earlier and leave Nepal without stress.
